~ SHALL WE TALK ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY? ~

The current pollution of our planet is a growing problem; Climate change is already being felt around the world. According to scientific studies, we have little time to redo and change our habits in order to have a cleaner planet.

As we see that from the world of politics they do not make it easy when it comes to creating new laws that benefit us all, we give you a few ideas of small gestures that we can change from our day to day to contribute our grain of sand!

1. THE FAMOUS THREE R's: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

We are in 2020, there are no excuses for not recycling and separating waste. Currently, the facilities that citizens have to recycle are infinite, from the basic separation of glass, paper and plastic to local collections of used oil or coffee capsules.

Many of the things that end up in the trash could be used again, such as gift wrap. Do not throw it away, unwrap the gift carefully and use the paper for future gifts that you have to make.

On the other hand, many of the things that end up in the trash could be used again. Currently, second-hand stores or selling clothes over the Internet are very popular and an incredible way to give a second life to everything you don't use!

Invest in timeless pieces that can last in your closet for years, not just one season!

2. SHARE YOUR TRIP AND MOVE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public transport is nothing new, in Barcelona the first tram was inaugurated in 1872. Since then (fortunately) there has been an incredible transformation and now the whole city has different methods of public transport.

In 2019, a regulation was established in the Catalan capital that affects cars with older license plates. It was established in order to reduce pollution within the city and with this advance we really have no excuse: using public transport is comfortable, sometimes faster and helps us all breathe better (including the planet)!

3. ELIMINATE SINGLE-USE PLASTIC

Plastic is one of the most polluting materials since it takes thousands of years to decompose (in this National Geographic article we see it represented in impressive photographs). That is why it is very important to be able to make the change to more resistant materials and that we can give them more use. Plastic bottles are the easiest example: now we can find the option of glass or thermoses that maintain the temperature of the drinks.

On the other hand, cloth bags (like our tote bag ) are perfect for everyday use. They can be used both to go to work and to shop, without having to spend disposable plastic bags!
