~ Meet 5 of the women who inspire us ~
In the last 100 years, the role and rights of women have changed beyond all recognition. But, one thing that has remained constant is the sheer number of stunning women out there all over the world.
If you have seen our Instagram (@poems_bcn), you will know that every Monday we propose different phrases to start the week on the right foot and a shot of inspiration. This Monday, to kick off WOMEN'S WEEK , we have shared with all of you five women who inspire us: some are feminist pillars and others are unknowns, but all of them helped change the world.
1.HELEN KELLER
Who : Helen K.

Why she inspires us: Having lost her sight and hearing at a young age, Keller defied expectations of earning a college degree and inspired generations as a disability rights activist.
It teaches us that with determination it is possible to achieve your dreams.

2. ROSE PARKS
Who: Rosa Parks
Why she inspires us: Parks was a secretary for the NAACP and a civil rights activist.
Rosa refused to give up her seat for a white man, sparking the Montgomery bus boycott, an important symbol of the civil rights movement.
3.AMELIA EARHART
Who: Amelia Earhart
Why she inspires us: She was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
Earhart completely altered the playing field for women and broke the stereotype of what used to be called "man's jobs."

4. MALALA YOUSAFZAI
Who: Malala Yousafzai
Why she inspires us: She survived a Taliban assassination attempt in retaliation for her activism for girls' education and became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
At 20 years old, she is changing the world through her words and her work.

5. JK ROWLING
Who: JK Rowling
Why she inspires us: Rowling brought the magic of reading to a new generation and now has the best-selling book series of all time.
He taught us that what matters is the quality of an idea: Rowling finished her first manuscript on a manual typewriter.
